Organdonasjon

How much time does the next-of-kin have to think about organ donation if they are asked?

The next-of-kin must be given the necessary time to speak together. For organ donation to be possible, the patient must be pronounced dead at a donor hospital. Maintaining the functions of the organs is done by using a respirator. This allows the relatives time to talk together and reach a decision if the deceased has not taken a standpoint.
